Tyrone V. Brant

Tyrone V. Brant, 54, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at his residence.

Born June 20, 1963 in Rush County, he was the son of Earl E. Brant and Sharon K. (Stephens) Brant.

Survivors include his mother, of Shelbyville; son, Andrew V. Brant, of Greenwood; daughter, Amber Dawn Collins (husband, Austin), of Carmel; brothers, Troy Brant (wife, Kassie) of Shelbyville; Todd Brant (wife, Nora), of St. Omer; and Travis W. Brant (wife Ruby), of Shelbyville; and two grandchildren, Charlotte Collins and Benjamin Collins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Brant had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Waldron High School in 1981.

He had been a musician/entertainer since his teenage years, and for the last couple of years was employed as a groundskeeper at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino. He had also worked for several years as an underground utility worker for several different companies.

Tyrone loved animals and playing music, which was his life. He dearly loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. Those that knew him knew him as a cut up and practical jokester.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. David Humphrey will officiate, and burial will be at Goddard Cemetery, in Rush County.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.

Please leave your condolences
