Paul Wagers, Jr., 54, of Beech Grove, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born December 7, 1963 in Beech Grove, he was the son of Paul Wagers Sr. and Maxine (Flynn) Wagers. He was
raised by Walter G. Medley and wife Irene Medley most of his life. He married Josephine “Jo” (Ehrlich) on April 4, 1992
and she survives.
Other survivors include brother Walter Wagers of Beech Grove, sister Vicki Flynn of Indianapolis; 2 nephews- Joey
& Jake Wagers of Beech Grove; 3 cousins that Paul considered his brother and sisters- Bertha Hughes of Shelbyville,
Barbara Fines of Mooresville, and Walter Medley Jr. of Thorntown, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father,
Walter & Irene Medley (who raised him), and grandparents Henry and Bertha Wagers.
Paul lived in this central Indiana area for most of his lifetime. He was a truck driver for Mayflower and National Carriers
for several years, and then drove for himself with his own company PJ Express for many years. He attended Baptist
Academy in Beech Grove, and graduated from Franklin Academy.
Paul was a big history buff. He enjoyed fishing, building RC models, and traveling along Route 66. He was a “people
person” and loved hanging out with his friends.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road,
with visitation there Tuesday evening from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Rev. Harvey Weaver will officiate.
