Paul F. Gibbs
Paul Fredrick Gibbs, 67, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his residence.
Born December 3, 1949 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Paul W. Gibbs, Sr., and Jessie L. (Crosly)
Gibbs. He married Linda K. Gibbs on February 8, 1997, and she survives in Shelbyville.
Other survivors include- sons Brent Gibbs (wife Sally) of Taylorsville, Tony Gibbs of Carthage,
daughter Angela Gibbs of Greenfield; sisters Donna VanDuyn of Shelbyville, Sue Anderson of Greenfield,
brother Bob Gibbs of Greenfield; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; and is also survived by several
nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Sally Gibbs (husband Eddy) of Columbus, and special friend Jim Skaggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Gibbs, daughter-in-law Olivia Gibbs, sister-in-law
Shirley Gibbs, and brothers-in-law J.C. Anderson, and George VanDuyn.
Mr. Gibbs had lived in this area for his lifetime. He was a factory worker and was a former member of the
Eagle’s Lodge of Shelbyville.
Paul enjoyed fishing with his brother Jim, sons Tony and Brent, and longtime fishing buddy Jim Skaggs, but
most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Paul Hill Cemetery
in St. Paul at a later date.
