Kenneth R. Pile
Kenneth R. Pile, 91, of Shelbyville, passed away April 1, 2017 at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born December 20, 1925 in Shelby County to Richard E. and Laura M. (Creek) Pile, he married Joan J. (Bland) Pile on June 29, 1952 and she survives.
Other survivors include son John R. Pile (wife Debbie) of Shelbyville, sister Marjorie Nay of Shelbyville, 3 grandchildren- Valerie Wilkins (husband John) of Shelbyville, Matt Pile (Laurie Franasiak) of Jacksonville, FL., & Leann Pile (Cory Boldery) of Shelbyville, 5 great grandchildren Blaise, Lexi, & Jesse Wilkins, Zoe McGuire, & Zuri Boldery.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Pile was a lifetime Shelby Co. resident and was a self employed farmer his entire working career.
He graduated from Mt. Auburn High School in 1943 and had attended the Bible Holiness Church of Shelbyville.
He had been a member of Shelby County Farm Bureau Band in previous years, and was a US Army veteran.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Joe Smith and Rev. Bob Campbell officiating.
Friends may pay their respect on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby Co.
