Joe Allen Stucker Sr.
Joe Allen Stucker, Sr., 80, of Fairland, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at IU Health Methodist Hospital
in Indianapolis. Born September 21, 1937 in Somerset, Kentucky, he was the son of George Walter
Stucker and Ada Lee (Willard) Stucker.
Survivors include- son Joe A. Stucker Jr. (wife Janet E.) of Fairland, daughter Susan D. Foizey (husband
Richard) of St. Peter, Missouri; sister Rosalie Stucker Boatwright of Georgia; 3 grandchildren- Daniel A.
Stucker, Jessica J. Stucker, Bryan E. Stucker; and 2 great grandchildren- Madison and Grayson. He was
preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers- Walter Stucker and James Thomas “JT” Stucker; and sister
Della Stucker Mohr.
Mr. Stucker had lived in this area for 57 years, after moving from Kentucky. He had been a electrician with
New York Central Railroad, Chrysler Corp., and Ford Motor Company for 52 years, retiring in 2003. He
graduated from Shelbyville High School and was a member of the First Christian Church in Somerset.
He was a US Army veteran.
Joe loved fishing, hunting, and trap shooting, in which he competed in for several years.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 5:00 until the time of the service. A military memorial service
will be conducted at the funeral home at 5:00 pm just prior to the visiting hours by a local veterans
