Jacqueline June LeClerc
Jacqueline June LeClerc, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away May 25, 2017 at Waldron Health & Rehab.
Born June 7, 1929 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Herbert and Beatrice (Winton) Walton.
She married Raymond E. LeClerc on June 5, 1951 and he preceded her on October 1, 2016.
Survivors include: daughters- Paula Hauke (husband Errick), Karen Scott (husband Alan), son David Leclerc
(wife Angie), all of Shelbyville; twin sister Joan Fix (husband Jack) of Shelbyville,
sister Vicki Camden of New Whiteland, sister-in-law Barbara Walton of Bradenton, Florida, brother-in-law
Rex LeClerc (wife Mae) of Shelbyville; 5 grandchildren: Nicole Huston, Adam Scott, Amber Richardson,
Katie Lord & Cody LeClerc; 8 great-grandchildren: Hannah & Noah Scott, Derrick & Matthew Lord, Miles &
Maizy Huston, Andrew & Madison Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse,
brothers- Denzil & Dorcil Walton, sister-in-law Martha Walton, & brother-in-law Steve Camden.
Mrs. LeClerc had lived in this area her lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1947. She
had been employed as a telephone operator for several years, and also worked at the Garment Factory and
was a cafeteria worker at Loper and Addison Elementary Schools for several years. She was a lifetime
member of Omega Nu Tau Sorority of Shelbyville.
June enjoyed traveling, crocheting, square dancing, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:30 am at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral
Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday evening,
May 30, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Shelby County Cancer Assn., in care of the funeral home.
