Elizabeth Ann Wingo
Elizabeth Ann Wingo 81, of Shelbyville, passed away on March 14, 2017 at Fransican hospice house in Indianapolis.
She was born to Harry Marks and Katie (Richardson) Marks on February 15, 1936 in Shelbyville. She married Charles Edward Wingo and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include son Mark (Kelley) Wingo of Arizona; Brother Richard (Micki) Marks of Greenwood,In; and brother David (Sherry) Marks of Shelbyville,In; Grandchildren Catie Wingo, Jake Wingo, and Emily Wingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 son R. Scott Wingo, sisters Judy Allender, Monty Lou Colson, Phyllis Marks, Diane Marks, Kay Schofner.
She was a lifetime resident of Shelby County.
She attended Shelbyville high school.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Private Family Services were held on Monday at the Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Wingo Officiating.
Burial was held at the Sydney Cemetery in Bartholomew County.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fransican hospice house in care of the funeral home.
Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and watching movies.
She was an excellent cook, teaching her family members how to make good spaghetti sauce and homemade noodles and dumplings.
One of her favorite places to eat was Red Lobster, and she enjoyed eating the seafood gumbo at the Cheesecake Factory, but most of all Elizabeth loved spending time her family.
