Doris K. Kuhn
Doris K. Kuhn, 98, of Franklin, former Shelbyville resident, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018
at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community.
Born May 24, 1919 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Walter H. Kuhn and Bertha M. (Gahimer)
Kuhn. She married Glenn A. Kuhn on June 1, 1940 and he preceded her on January 28, 2001.
Survivors include son Dr. Tom Kuhn (wife Marcia) of Shelbyville, daughter Karen Stepp (husband John)
of Blue Ridge; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, spouse, 2 brothers- Maurice & Irvin Kuhn, 3 sisters- Fern Marshall, Frances Meyer,
Lois Branson, 2 grandchildren- Amanda Day, John Glenn Stepp, and 2 great grandchildren- Cody Day &
Mrs. Kuhn had lived in this area her entire lifetime, and was a home maker. She graduated from Manilla
High School in 1937, was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, where she was organist for many years,
and had been attending Zion United Church of Christ.
Doris enjoyed cooking and quilting.
Graveside services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, with Dr. Brad
Schultz officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at
Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, at which time we will depart to the cemetery for
the graveside service.
