Beulah P. “Bea” Clapp

Beulah P. “Bea” Clapp, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her residence.
Born December 10, 1931 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Jack Bright and Ethel (Pierce) Bright.
She married Robert D. Clapp in November 1951 and he survives.
Other survivors include sons David W. Clapp (wife Marcia) of Shelbyville, Dennis J. Clapp (wife Mary) of
Carlsbad, California; sister-in-law Carol Clapp of Plainfield; grandchildren Matt Clapp, Jessie Clapp, 3 step
grandchildren Randy Weber (wife Karla), Steven Weber, Christina Keith (husband Doug); 8 step great 
grandchildren, 4 step great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in
death by her parents, sister Alma Jean Bright, brother-in-law Jay Clapp.
Mrs. Clapp had lived in this area for 55 years, after moving from Union City, Indiana.  She was a mother
and homemaker, and graduated from Greenwood High School.  She was a member of First United Methodist
Church of Shelbyville. 
Bea enjoyed working outside in her flower garden and cooking in her kitchen.  She loved her dog companion
Rosie.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
