Gordon F. Haas

Gordon F. Haas, 84, of Waldron, passed away April 25, 2017 at MHP Medical Center.

Born March 31, 1933 in Milhousen, he was the son of Lawrence and Violet Mae (Land) Haas. He married Sherry (Cooley) Haas and she passed away on February 17, 2011.

Survivors include: son Darin Haas (wife Jessica Thurston) of Clarksville, Tennessee, daughter Teresa (Haas) Hobson of Shelbyville, brothers Mike Haas of Westport, David Haas (wife Karen) of Kansas, Larry Rush (wife Fay) of Arizona, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great -greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse Sherry, children Eric, Steve, and Keith Haas, brothers Joe, Robert, & Ronald Haas, and sister Beverly Ann Hawkins.

Mr. Haas had lived in this area most of his life, and had been employed as a truck driver many years

for several different trucking companies.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in McClure, Ohio, and also Town and Country Christian Church locally.

He was member of American Legion, and was a US Army veteran.

Gordon enjoyed Sunday drives after church, camping, boating, playing cards, sitting on the porch swing with Sherry, attending his children and grand childrens’ sporting events, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery at a late date. A military memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 PM by a local veterans organization.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby Count Cancer Assn. in care of the funeral home.
